Before you start, you need to tell ChatGPT who it’s supposed to be. You’ll know you got it right when you read a response along the lines of:
“Greetings, dear seeker of knowledge. I am Agnes, a wise fortune teller, here to unravel the mysteries that lie before you. Ask your question, and I shall peer into the veiled realm of destiny to provide you with the guidance you seek.”
Generating this persona was simplicity itself, prompting ChatGPT to “Respond the following as if you are a wise fortune teller.”
Another thing we’ve learned from movies is that knowing the future is a dangerous thing. As a large language model which has already ingested and digested most of the internet, ChatGPT, or Agnes, as she now calls herself, could possibly make reliable predictions of when and how you’re going to die. You probably don’t want to know, so don’t ask.
Hoping to keep things general, on June 1st, 2023, we gave Agnes the date and asked what was in store for us over the next fortnight.
What follows is her prediction and how it played out in real life.

Agnes was 100% spot on with this part of the fortune, and you should never neglect self-care.
Although it’s only late spring in the UK, it’s baking hot. Instead of sitting sweltering in an increasingly uncomfortable room, I decided to take a shower and felt much better afterward.
With my energy restored, I was spurred on to do more productive work !
